Program Details
The IEC Partners 2021 Startup and Scale-up Program is a “by invitation only” program. You can find more information below if you have been invited to enroll.
If you want to apply for your startup or scale-up you can, but the IEC holds discretion as to the profile of the candidates.
IEC STATUP PROGRAM PHASE I – To Build a Minimum Viable Product
6 months – 10 to 12 Startups – MVP Package
The accelerator phase of the IEC Program runs for 6 months with up to 12 teams (typically 2-3 founders/co-founders per team) invited to join the Program in each intake. Successful teams will be drawn from around the world and will be based in Newton, Greater Boston, USA for the duration of the Program.
Applicants will need to demonstrate their ability to deliver a working minimum viable product and initial proof of market within 4-6 months with the aim of raising an early seed round of capital within 12 months after the program.
If you are an entrepreneur with an idea for a digital product, service or business in B2B SaaS, Advanced Manufacturing, Robotics, Agtech, Healthcare, AI, Data Analytics, Marketplaces or related spaces, then you should apply.

Objective: Raise early Seed and reach MVP
IEC PROGRAM PHASE II – To Find Product-Market Fit and Raise
12 months – 5 to 8 Startups – PMF 1 and 2 Packages
The incubator phase of the IEC Program runs for 8 to 12 months with up to 10 teams invited to join the Program phase in each intake. Successful teams will be drawn from around the world and will be based in Newton, Greater Boston, USA for at least 6 months for the duration of the Program.
Applicants will need to demonstrate strong market fit and product build with the potential to find a repeatable model within 8 to 12 months with the aim of raising a late seed round of capital right after the program.
If you are an entrepreneur with a product, service or business that already has market validation (revenue) in one of the following spaces: B2B SaaS, Advanced Manufacturing, Robotics, Agtech, Healthcare, AI, Data Analytics, Marketplaces or related spaces, then you should apply.

IEC PROGRAM PHASE III – To Reach Traction and Growth
12 months – 3 to 5 Scale-ups – Growth 1, 2 and Scale-up Packages
The traction phase of the IEC Program runs for 12 months with up to 8 teams invited to join the Program phase in each intake. Successful teams will be drawn from around the world and will be based in Newton, Greater Boston, USA for at least 4 months for the duration of the Program.
Applicants will need to demonstrate ability to deliver proofs of traction and continue to build their teams, product and systems to find a repeatable model within 8 to 12 months with the aim of raising a Series A round of capital right after the program.
If you are an entrepreneur with a product, service or business that already has at least 1 Million USD in revenue in one of the following spaces: B2B SaaS, Advanced Manufacturing, Robotics, Agtech, Healthcare, AI, Data Analytics, Marketplaces or related spaces, then you should apply.
As part of the program each chosen startup will receive 200K in services and marketing:
